Manuscript journal of speeches and essays kept by John Harrison (1806-1875) who was the owner of the one of the largest flour mills in central Missouri. This book is signed by Harrison but some material dates to after his death and was probably used by his son. Topics include tobacco, modern literature, agriculture, distribution of life's pleasures and more.
Excellent original early family and/or town genealogy, history, antique, collectible heirloom and/or ephemera.
