    30" x 20" Artist: unsigned. Printed for the War Saving Stamps Drive. This poster features a wonderful image of General Pershing gently talking to two children who have presumably purchased war stamps. This poster was made to promote the sale of war savings stamps, which even children could buy in small denominations and turn in later for larger bonds. General Pershing was the first ever four star general, and any poster with his image was an automatic hit. His image evoked such patriotic feelings and emotion that he attained near movie star fame for his role in the war. This poster is a fantastic rendering of the general and his kind way with people.
