19th Century Selections From German Literature in Manuscript.Antique blank book. German language. 12mo. 51, [1] pages, numbered at top corner - final 81 leaves blank. Contains handwritten sections in German script, including excerpts and quotes from German dramatic authors (Schiller, Louis Huth, K. Reissiger, etc). Historical and romantic content including an account of the assassination attempt on Prince Otto von Bismarck by Eduard Franz Ludwig Kullmann at Kissingen on July 13, 1874. Compiled by Richard Schlüter 1872-1878, penned in his neat hand. Marbled paper covered boards backed in textured cloth, rubbed with surface loss, binding shaken, acceptable condition overall. Stationer's rubberstamp and ownership signature dated 1872 at upper endpaper. Two leaves excised following text. Headings include:
