Collection of Aerospace Photographs
. The area where Studio Antiques is located is where much of the historical aerospace development has taken place. This collection was brought into the store one day, and it struck us as an unusual collection so we purchased it, and are pleased to offer it here today. Our quick conclusion based on what we see is that this material may have come out of TRW in the 1999 time frame.
First, we have a binder filled with Avery clear protective sleeves, most holding 8x10 inch photographs on Kodak Professional paper. The photographs look like they were composed for publicity, posters, and the like. There are a variety of special programs covered which you can get an idea of from our pictures of typical items, along with the listing shown in our second picture. Not shown is the back of that page which has a memo dated in July, 1999 discussing photos of Indium Phosphide. There are also some paper pages with photograph copies, with some markups.
The binder contains 46 sleeved Avery items of which 34 are photographs on Kodak paper.
In addition to the binder, we have a set of loose photographs that appear to substantially duplicate the binder contents. Loose, we see 36 photographs in all on Kodak paper, along with 1 regular sheet of paper. A couple of duplicates were noted here as well.
The binder with contents plus loose material weighs 4 pounds 9 ounces.
Condition: Very good to excellent. The sleeved photographs in the binder are well protected, but the loose material is in great shape as well. All of our pictures show the actual material that you will receive.
This should be a great addition to any collection of vintage aerospace photographs, and will certainly add some unusual and unique images not easily found now in circulation!
