The case is constructed of 1/4" plywood with a thick plastic vinyl laminate on the outside and a carpet lined inside. The case is assembled with heavy gauge aluminum extrusions machine split riveted throughout and the corners are protected by heavy gauge steel flat corners. All the catches and handles are surface mounted. They are specifically designed for a tight positive closure and easy lifting. The lid hinges open. The very handy retractable handle and wheel system makes this case very useful!
