is is a rare ANTI-SLAVERY newspaper by the famed abolitionist publisher and editor WILLIAM LLOYD GARRISON. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other of slaves being freed. It features many articles concerning general liberty and the emancipation of slavery in the United States. Garrison founded this Anti-Slavery newspaper in 1831 and was published through December of 1865.
Lots of interesting and historical news from the Civil War as well as anti-slavery articles, views and opinions. I do not deal in copies/reproductions.
This rare newspaper is original and complete as issued, 4 pages, 18 x 24 inches in size and in good condition. It is still attached at the spine and was printed on a heavy rag/cotton paper thus not brittle to the touch! Easy to read and research without damaging the paper. This original authentic newspaper from 1861 is
