Antiphonal Music Leaf Hymns Illuminated Manuscript Latin Pentecost Alleluia

Description

Beautiful antique framed music leaf; apparently part of a Sunday hymn in Latin. Measures about 10.5"x16" in frame (under glass). The piece appears to be on hand-made paper and has illuminated initials in gilt, red, and blue.
The frame is black wood with gilt trim.

Paper in very good condition, frame with some light scuffing but still beautiful. Backing board is taped at top and missing a couple nails so is loose at the bottom, could easily be tightened with a few nails or mounting points. Since it's loose, I can see inside a little and the leaf is printed on both sides,a nd the paper has small hole marks on one side from originally being part of a string or bound manuscript.
