For sale it this authentic antique German book leaf from a three volume Historical Chronicle of the Germanic peoples by J. L. Gottfried. The overall scope encompassed historical, biblical and mythical perspectives of history. You will receive the exact featured leaf from the photos (which includes portions of text from the book). This volume was printed in Frankfurt by Philipp Heinrich Hutter 1743-59 and originally included plates acquired from Matthäus Merian the Elder’s “Theatrum Europaeum” . The folio size leaf measures 355 x 205 mm. and contains various lines of gothic fracture. This piece is perfect for display, and would complement any collection! Don’t pass it up!
