ETD 180 is similar to but stronger:
E.T.D. 150® stands for Elevated Temperature Drawing process. This eliminates heat treating and secondary operations such as straightening, finish grinding, cleaning and inspections. It can be roll threaded, knurled, and plated. It is produced from AISI medium carbon 4100 series alloy steel.
ETD 150® contains additives for improving machinability. These may be Tellurium, Selenium, Sulphur (.06 max), or others, separately or in combination. Warping, distortion and residual stresses from cold working are reduced during machining. This eliminates heat treating and secondary operations such as straightening, finish grinding, and cleaning. In spite of it's high strength and hardness, ETD 150® typically poses little or no difficulty in drilling reaming and forming with chips that break up well for easy removal. It was specifically designed to provide manufacturers with an in-the-bar-strength bar that can be machined.
