    Description

One of the four original prints from a series by P F Collier and Son, New York, titled "The Four Famous Generals".  This one is of Supreme Commander of British forces Sir Douglas Haig.  In original wood frame as shown.  A very thick, heavy frame with original glass.  The print of Haig measures about 9 by 11 inches, with the total with frame being about 14 x 17 inches.
As a side note, this print was in front of another photo in this frame of a United States Colonel, Eli E. Bennett, of the 92nd Coastal Artillery Regiment (the Philippine Scouts) dated to 1937.  You can see this photo on my other listings just search on his name for a complete history.  I am assuming that this was originally his print he framed, and probably hung it in his office at some point.  Col. Bennett was a WW1 veteran and part of the occupation force after the war.
