Flag is older wool style. Measures 50 inches long by 36 inches wide. Stamped on hoist: “Brigadier General; 3Ft x 4Ft, Annin And Co.”. Brass grommets on hoist end. Leather hanging tabs still there. Beautiful flag in excellent condition. Perfect display size. General George E. McGovern Jr served in Okinawa at the end of World War II. Then, later in Korea was the “Battery A Commander 57th Field Artillery of the 7th Infantry Division." Also served with the 40th Field Artillery Group. He was E.O. of the 95th Infantry Regiment. Commander of the 4013th U.S. Army Garrison. Also served in Germany, Puerto Rico, and Australia. Served in the Army from 1944 to 1983. See all photographs in details as there are no returns. Great one.
