A gigantic decorative  liturgical manuscript leaf on vellum, produced in a Spanish scriptorium around 1600.
The manuscript from which this leaf stems was sold in Christie's auction of December 8, 1982 (lot #145).  Christie stated that the date for the production of this manuscript was 1550. However, that date seems to be too early, based on the style of the manuscript.
Size of the leaf :
ca.27 " x 19.5"(685 mm x 500 mm).
Condition:
As shown, on vellum in good  condition with  evidence of ageing, original vellum flaws, edge flaws, etc.

Both sides of the leaf for sale.
