Description
This item is an original piece of Grand Ole Opry history!! This item is an Eicor reel to reel tape recorder owned and used by the legendary HANK WILLIAMS SR.! This item was included with the artifacts that were formerly displayed in the Country Music Wax Museum in Nashville Tennessee which we purchased. The original display plaque (included) reads: "HANK WILLIAMS SR ORIGINALLY OWNED AND RECORDED ON THIS TAPE RECORDER, WHICH LATER WAS GIVEN TO HANK SNOW BY AUDREY WILLIAMS". Hank Snow and the Williams family were known to be close and Hank Snow also donated a number of great pieces to the museum back when it was still a major Nashville tourist stop. We have had the Eicor serial number checked by an antique electronics appraiser and their determination is that the machine is from 1950. The recorder housing / case shows some wear but still displays very nicely as you can see. This item would make a wonderful display in any museum setting!! Why not purchase it and donate to your favorite museum with YOUR NAME on it as Hank Williams Sr. "Display Provide By"?? We sold off a lot of items from this museum with some items being purchased back by the original stars. To date NONE of the items authenticity has ever been brought into question! An incredible addition to any collection! Thanks for looking! Please check out our other offerings as well.
