    Description

    Offered is a rare painting by the renowned Hopi painter, Cliff Bahnimptewa. Featured is a magnificent watercolor and gouache on paper painting of a Bear (Hon) Kachina or Katsina. In excellent condition under glass the painting is 12 x 18 inches and the custom frame is 20.5 x 27.5 inches. It is signed and dated 1981 lower right. The painting has shifted some off its backing tape and the new owner may want to have it re-centered.
    Cliff Bahnimptewa was the artist for Barton Wright's book: "Kachinas, A Hopi Artitsts Documentary", 1973. His paintings are in many collections and museums including The Smithsonian.
