Signed Dated1140AH/1727CE, Turkey
Handwritten Ottoman scroll on paper. Complete Koran on a narrow long scroll, Dated 1140AH/1727CE, Turkey. The headers are illuminated colorfully painted with lozenges containing calligraphy. Leather end cover.

The calligraphy executed in black ink on laid paper, no watermarks were found.
Size of Paper Portion:
~366 x 4 cm (~12 ft)
Size of Leather Cover:
~13 x 4 cm (~5 in)
Overall condition is good for its age, some very minor stains, loss of gold and very minor edge tears. The writing is clean and readable.
A worthy addition to any Islamic art collection.
