London Guarantee & Accident Company “Dark Streets” Poster circa 1914-1918

Description

A good example of an insurance promotional poster for London Guarantee & Accident Company, circa 1914-1918 which reads “Dark Streets Increase Accidents, London Guarantee & Accident Co Ltd, Established 1869, 20,21,& 22, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, W.C.” with a skyline of a dark city. These posters were published by Adams Bros & Shardlow during WWI, showing results of wartime blackouts from aerial bombings and potential accidents. Good overall condition, with a single crease across the center, other imperfections, slight yellowing and fading. Framed under glass in a simple rustic wooden frame. Dimensions: 35 in H x 21 in W, actual; 37 ¼” H x 23 ¼”, framed. Ref:10615
