~ From a Los Angeles estate sale - vintage artist's rendering print the McDonnell Aircraft "ASSET" Glide Reentry Vehicle or Spaceplane from the 1960s. ~ ASSET, or Aerothermodynamic Elastic Structural Systems Environmental Tests was an experimental US space project involving the testing of an uncrewed sub-scale reentry vehicle. ~ Previous owner worked for McDonnell's Aeronautical Systems Division in the 60s. ~ Print measures 13" x 10¼" and is on heavy glossy photo stock. ~ Print is glued to a thick card-stock backing that contains the text and measures 16" x 14". ~ Good condition for its age - no creases but a little edgewear to the mat backing. The photo print itself is coming loose at several points around the edges and you can see the old original glue has turned brown underneath due to age. It could stand to be re-glued down again. Colors look good but may be very slightly faded.
