    Native American Painted Leather Kachina Art by Ray Briggs, "Chaveyo". Condition is Pre-Owned. Shipped with USPS.
    This is a beautiful hand tooled and hand painted plaque by master craftsman Ray Briggs.
    The image depicts "Chaveyo", An Ogre Kachina.
    'The Hopi Boogie Man, he makes his appearance during the spring months. If Hopi children are bad, they are warned that Chaveyo will get them if they misbehave'.
    The actual leather piece measures 8 1/2" x 11" and is mounted on the dark brown wooden plaque.
    The wooden plaque measures 11" x 14", plus the metal hook on the top.
    Details on the image of Chaveyo are wonderful, and enhanced by the application of the paints.
    It is hand signed by Ray Briggs in the leather.
    A pamphlet about the artist is taped to the back of the wooden plaque.
    This piece is in excellent condition.
