    Description

    Geraldine Tso
    Navajo / Dine'
    Original Acrylic
Geraldine Tso (pronounced So) was born in Gallup, New Mexico and raised in Coyote Canyon and Standing Rock, New Mexico on the Navajo Nation. She is a full blooded Navajo. Her work often draws on her personal experience and memories from growing up in Navajo country. Her work consists primarily of Southwestern and Navajo
architecture and landscapes in earth tones and brilliant blues. Geraldine works in a variety of mediums notably acrylics but also oils and watercolors.
This is an original acrylic of a Navajo hogan, a horseman with a brilliant blue sky and buttes in the distance. Her work is often noted for it's Surrealism and this work clearly shows that influence.
Geraldine Tso attended the Institute of American Indian Art and UNM in Gallup. She moved to Taos after marrying. She is highly collectible and widely represented including in the American Indian Museum in New York City with an extraordinary piece. Have a look.
The painting measures 11" by 14" on stretched canvas. Signed in painting. Geraldine Tso gallery wrapped this piece on a 5/8" stretcher and painted the perimeter as part of the painting. If you prefer to frame it, it is a standard size and would not require a custom frame.
