    Description

We are very pleased to offer an
    original,
    circa-1918
    ,
WWI Homefront poster with the stunning image of a woman in work clothes holding a bomb in one hand and an airplane in the other. It's entitled, "
FOR EVERY FIGHTER A WOMAN WORKER / CARE FOR HER THROUGH THE Y.W.C.A. / UNITED WAR WORK CAMPAIGN
    "
The artist's name is displayed "
    Adolph Treidler
    ".
This well-known poster has been stabilized and nicely framed under glass (see framer's name in photos). It measures 30-1/4" wide by 40-1/4" tall inside the 1/4" red-colored metal frame.  Because of its age, there are some condition issues as follows: very light water stain st the lower right corner; horizontal folds; some minor edge wear; tiny spots of surface loss; areas of light discoloration. Despite this, the piece displays extremely well and is ready for hanging. Interesting note... the artist later married this model. An iconic and extremely desirable piece of WWI war time memorabilia!
This piece is part of a Southern Vermont estate of a man who traveled the world, and is absolutely authentic.
The cost of a professional artwork shipping box is included in the price.
The winning bidder pays shipping costs. Good luck, and thanks for looking!
