    Description

    Original 1918 lithograph supporting the sale of Liberty Bonds issued by the US government to help pay for America's participation in the First World War. This poster was used to publicize both the Third Liberty Loan, held in spring 1918. It features a colonial scene, presumably from 1776, showing Americans celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence beneath the iconic Liberty Bell. No artist signature, but "Sackett & Wilhelms Litho. Co." stamp in lower right corner and "8A" printed in lower left corner. Poster dimensions are 20 x 30 inches.
    Newly linen backed (10 oz cotton canvas + 100 lb cotton paper) and acid-neutralized. Very good condition; strong colors; no missing paper, traces of an old horizontal and vertical fold lines. There are two photos, one with and one without flash. Poster will ship rolled in a hard tube. flat shipping fee for US lower 48.
