    Description

    Original 1919 lithograph supporting the Victory Liberty Loan, the fourth and final national bond drive of the First World War. This loan was intended to help the US government pay off its war debt. Image shows a US soldier wounded from battle but smiling broadly and holding three German helmets as trophies of his victorious campaign. Artist is Clyde Forsythe, a painter and illustrator best remembered for his desert paintings of the southwest US and his comic strip art, including Joe Jinks. Poster dimensions are 30 x 40 inches.
    Newly linen backed (10 oz cotton canvas + 100 lb cotton paper) and acid-neutralized. Very good condition; faint traces of old fold lines visible on close inspection; strong colors; no missing paper. There are two photos, one with and one without flash. Poster will ship rolled in a hard tube. flat shipping fee for US lower 48.
