    Original WWI poster "Soldiers and Sailors Need Your Books" c1918, 12.5"x19", printed on cardboard as issued, decent condition overall, minor soil and creasing. This specimen was once part of the collection of the State Library of New York in Albany (see imprint lower right). Extremely rare and unusual poster, this is an appeal for collecting books for overseas and domestic troops. Few cardboard posters survived the years. I have been a professional war poster dealer over 20 years and this is the only specimen I have ever seen. Very historic opportunity.  See image of back also.
