    Description

Rare 1695 Vellum manuscript-Indenture Lease Property in Whorwell Southampton.
What makes this so rare is that it was never executed.  Usually un-executed deeds or deals were thrown away. The fact that this still survived is amazing!
Here's the details of what is concerns-
King William era manuscript vellum indenture [Lease] dated 22nd August 1695 between The Right Honourable John Lord La Warr, Edmond Bonlter of London [Esquire], executor of the last will and testament of Sir John Cutler late of the Parish of St. Margaret & Westminster in the County of Middlesex [Knight & Baronet] deceased and Joshua Lush of the Parish of St. Margaret & Westminster [Gent] of the one part and Abraham Ogden of Whorwell in the county of Southton (Southampton) [Clarke] of the other part.
It relates to the said messuage or tenement with their appurtenances together with four acres of arable land and a little plot of meadow ground containing half an acre situate lying and being in Whorwell in the County of Southampton leased for a year in consideration of 5 shillings.
The indenture has been folded with the usual age related folds and crinkles, patchy light dust soiling, minimal worming to margin not affecting text, the document is fully legible. The document, although with three wax seals, it was never signed and executed.
