Description
For sale is this extremely rare circa 1600-1800’s wooden manuscript from the Tuareg tribe in Morocco. This manuscript once served as a marriage contract to bind together a husband and a wife in matrimony. The medium is a piece of wood, with a black ink writing on it. This Tuareg people group used wood for writing these contracts out until they were conquered by France (when they then began to use paper). This piece is handwritten in Arabic. I purchased this from a Moroccan antiques dealer, who purchased it from a couple that found a box with several of these in storage in their parents home. This is an incredible manuscript, and would be a great addition to any collection! Don’t pass it up!Be sure to check over the details and look at all of the photos so you will know exactly what you’ll get! Sometimes the photos include a picture of the item next to a ruler so that you can better tell the size of the item. This way we can avoid any accidental sizing issues. My goal is to make you happy!
