    Two framed examples of 15th or early 16th Century Incunabula Leaf Purchased from Antiquities dealer William Fagan in Michigan. Early printed parchment from the first printing presses. These are religious in nature. One page of text, one index page. Pages measure approx. 8"x 12". Frames measure approx. 16"x12" .Purchased around 1979 - 1980. I framed them in 1982. Each page printed on both sides. Solid hardwood frames with tempered glass. Thanks for looking! These were from Sales Catalog #25, items 692 and 693........... Catalog Description for 692 is as follows. " "Dating to the very dawn of the printing process, and contemporary with the Gutenberg Bible- Late 15th century printed book leaf Incanabula- Latin text appears to be articles of faith. 8 1/2" x 12 1/4" printed both sides on very early laid paper in 56 line two column format. Text very clear, only minor fading to the paper and some staining to extreme edges. numerous small worm holes interspersed throughout- they actually add more character than they detract. Slight edge irregularity as made. All imperfections strictly negligible for the period.
