From a collection of vintage pens and mechanical pencils I am listing tonight, all fresh from the estate of a retired music promoter. Packed away and forgotten for almost 50 years!
I have seen the concert posters advertising these well-known JOHNNY CASH shows bring thousands of dollars, but have never seen the promotional ballpoint pens.
Original vintage ballpoint pen advertising the April 21, 1968 show at the KRNT Theater in Des Moines, Iowa.
And what a show it was! On the bill that night: JOHNNY CASH, June Carter, Carl Perkins, the Statler Bros, Mother Maybelle, and the Tennessee 3
Pen clip is marked with a letter "S" in a shield, and MADE IN U.S.A. It is unused, but I am sure the ink has dried up after so many years. No chips, cracks, hidden damage, or repairs.
