Wonderful Authentic Antique Pocket Diary for Jerome Hanks who lived in Steuben County, NY for the year 1872.  Jerome was primarily a farmer and dutifully made entries every day of year mostly about farming and general tasks and weather plus additional cash account journal for each month plus lots of math.  Several neighbors and friends are also named throughout yr.  We researched Jerome Hanks (1841-1924) who lived his whole life and buried in town.  We've added pic of his gravestone just for the listing.  The pocket diary measures 3x6" and included lots of printed info for users including calendar, moon phases and taxes.  All pages appear intact.  Condition is good cover is coming loose but spine is solid pages are good and legible.  This is a fantastic insight into a NY farmer 150 years ago.  Like many farmers they worked every day life wasn't easy.  This will ship fast and FREE signature required.  Contact us any questions we try our best and follow our store we focus on rare and unique thanks.
